How verification works
One reading per report
Location is read once, when a tech opens the report, and the tech sees the result before submitting. There is no background tracking and no location history.
Checked against the geofence
Each reading is compared to the jobsite geofence. Inside reads as on site, and outside gets a distance.
Flagged, never blocked
An off-site or missing reading never stops a report. It is recorded, flagged for the office, and kept off customer surfaces.
Provenance
Every record wears its receipt
Time, place, and author sit on the record itself. When GPS is denied or unavailable, the record says so plainly instead of pretending. Months later you can show exactly when a report was filed and that the crew was on site.
Photos are cleaned on the way in: the location tags a phone writes into an image file are stripped, so the one reading on the report is the only one that exists.

Questions about location
What if a tech has no signal on site?
The written report saves as a draft on the phone, and a photo that fails to upload stays on the form with a retry button, so the tech can send it when signal returns without redoing anything. A missing or denied GPS reading is recorded as such and never blocks a report.
Is Bana tracking my crew’s phones?
No. Bana takes one GPS reading when a tech opens the report form, shows it to the tech, and sends it with the submitted report, checked against the jobsite geofence. There is no background location and no location history, and off-site flags are visible to your office only.
